Pictures and specifications of Canon's EOS Kiss X7 compact DSLR were leaked to the Japanese press, who wasted little time in beaming them to the web. The Kiss X7, as it turns out, is a slightly compacted version of the EOS-b, and only an incremental update from last year's Rebel T4i. It features an 18-megapixel CMOS sensor with Hybrid CMOS auto-focus II, support for continuous shooting for 4 seconds, and full-HD video recording. Other vital stats include an ISO sensitivity range of 100~12,800, which is expandable to ISO 25,600 with accessories; 9-point AF, special scene shooting modes, artificial DOF, SDXC media, and an included EF-S 18~55 mm kit lens. Its dry weight is just 370 g (without lens, card, or battery). Slated for a Japanese release some time in April, it is expected to be priced at 79,000 JPY (US $830).
