Mobile games are becoming more and more popular, and a new demo from Nvidia and Epic Games provides another reason for the mobile gaming market to grow. The companies showed off Unreal Engine 4 "Rivalry" during Google I/O, and based upon the demo video, the graphics possible from a smartphone are now similar to the graphics from a PS3 or Xbox 360.
Using Unreal Engine 4, Nvidia's Tegra K1, and enhancements in Google's latest Android Extension Pack, the demo was made possible. Given the demo, we have some idea of what to expect in the coming months when the latest version of Android rolls out and developers take advantage of software and hardware upgrades.
