Hyperkin is looking to up its success with RetroN line of multi-platform classic game consoles, with the RetroN 5. While its predecessor plays NES, SNES, Genesis, and Gameboy Advance, the RetroN 5 ups that list to include various versions of Gameboy, including the original. Among the cartridges supported by the RetroN 5 are NES, SNES, Genesis, Famicom, Gameboy Advance, Gameboy Original, Gameboy Color, Super Famicom, and MegaDrive. The console lets you slot-in any of the supported platforms' cartridges (both PAL and NTSC), which can be played using modern console conveniences such as a wireless controller, and HDMI display output. The console post-processes video as it's upscaled to 720p resolution, so it doesn't pixellate as much.
