CyanogenMod 11 M8 Released

All those CyanogenMod followers will be pleased to hear that there is a new, updated version of this popular custom built distribution of Android operating system. The newest snapshot build of CyanogenMod is based on Android 4.4 and bring several new features.

The M builds are also known as the stable versions, so make sure to update your devices. The ROMs of the latest snapshot support for up to 28 devices at the moment and is going to increase to around 80 by the end of the month. Full changelog follows below:

  • Common: Android 4.4.4 (Google)
  • New Devices: Sony Xperia Z2 (sirius); Xiaomi Mi2 (aries); Oppo Find 7a/s (find7); OnePlus One (bacon)
  • Common: Fix VPN issues related to 4.4.3 merge
  • Common: Enable 'Heads Up' notification mode (Settings > Notifications)
  • Settings: 'Interface' replaced by 'Status Bar', 'Notification Drawer', and 'Gestures'
