HTC has been struggling lately with its flagship smartphone. One of the most eagerly anticipated releases of the year, the HTC One showed excellent quality in all segments except in one, the camera. Even though the phone had good low-light camera performance, the daylight performance was not great.
Fortunately, the poor performance was not caused by the hardware. Instead, it seems that the problem was in software and the company released an update which should fix that. Looking at the samples, new images look much sharper than before, and there is also much less noise.
HTC will ship the retail units with this update, so you shouldn't have to worry too much about the camera quality.
