LG today announced the G3 Beat, which can be thought of as a downsized LG G3. We appreciate that the device isn't named 'G3 Mini,' because a 137.7 mm tall device with a 5-inch display doesn't really fit into that tag. Coming back to the device, LG has fitted the G3 Beat with a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720) IPS display that is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 chipset.
Other specifications include 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 8 MP rear camera with LED flash and Laser Auto Focus, a 2,540 mAh removable battery, 4G LTE support and Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box.
The 10.3 mm thick G3 Beat weighs 134 g and comes in Metallic Black, Silk White, Shine Gold. It will go on sale in South Korea starting 18th July. In the rest of the world, the G3 Beat will be sold as the LG G3s
