HTC is going through hard times lately, and it seems that is not the end of it. According to Mobile retailer Clove, HTC further postponed its flagship smartphone due to component shortages. According to the site, the HTC One is now delayed a further week for the UK customers.
The black version of the phone will be available after the 10th of April while the silver model will be available a little earlier, as of April 3. The other problem is that there is no information about how much HTC One smartphones are produced, which means the stock could run out in a couple of days.
The positive thing in all of this is that the customers' initial response to the phone has been fantastic. According to Jason Mackenzie, HTC's president of global sales and marketing, HTC One hit several hundred thousand preorders in the US.
"We are seeing our strongest initial response for any smartphone we've ever designed with several hundred thousand people in the U.S. pre-registering to purchase the new HTC One," said Mackenzie.
