Earlier this year, there have been several reports suggesting that Samsung is working on multiple smartphones under its Project J. Last week, we had a chance to see first allegedly pictures of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S IV Mini smartphone.
Talking to BusinessWeek, Samsung's Senior Vice President Lee Keon Hyok has confirmed that the Galaxy S IV Mini is in the works and will go on sale soon after the Galaxy S IV.
The Galaxy S4 does not come out until late April. It's fast, has a big, bright screen, and will probably be another huge hit for Samsung, as will the S4 mini that will go on sale soon after," said Lee Keon Hyok, Senior Vice President at Samsung Electronics.
While no specific details have been revealed, some details have emerged online. The Galaxy S IV Mini will be available in 8 GB, 16 GB and 32 GB versions with microSD cards support. Allegedly it will pack Exynos 5210 SoC with only 1 GB of RAM. The main camera will have an 8-megapixel sensor with 1080p video recording support, autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, touch-focus, and face detection.
The S IV Mini will have 4.3-inch qHD AMOLED display and will run Android 4.2.2 operating system with touchwiz nature UX interface. The rumoured estimated price for the Galaxy S IV Mini is $450.
