HTC Desire Q Gets Official In Taiwan

HTC already launched the mid-range Desire P smartphone, and now the Desire Q also gets announced. A new entry-level smartphone sports a 4-inch display with 480 x 800 pixels resolution. The handset is powered by a 1.0 GHz single-core processor, 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB onboard memory with a microSD card slot that supports up to 32 GB memory cards.

On the back, there is a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash. Measuring 118.5 x 62.3 x 9.3 mm, the smartphone weighs 114 g with a 1650 mAh battery. It runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but the company tipped that Jelly Bean Update is on its way.

HTC Desire Q is currently Taiwan exclusive smartphone at a price of NT$6,990, with no word on the global availability of the device. The smartphone will probably remain exclusive to the company's home market due to its lack of 4G LTE and the dual SIM support.
