Capcom announced today that they have been working on a remastered version of the original Resident Evil 1 game. Resident Evil 1 was released in 2002 for the Nintendo Gamecube, and Resident Evil 1 Remaster is coming to PC, PS3, Xbox 360, PS4 and Xbox One in 2015. The original title was a 1996 PlayStation exclusive, but it was made from the ground up for the GameCube, and later ported to the Nintendo Wii as well.
Apart from featuring upgraded visuals, Resident Evil 1 Remaster will run at 1080p resolution on the new consoles, and 720p on last-gen consoles. It will also support 5.1 surround sound, as well as allow gamers to choose from 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratio.
