Miami-based Blu Products released a software update to its Vivo 4.3 smartphone, which installs stock Android 4.1 "Jelly Bean" operating system. The company hopes to address battery life issues with its previous Android 4.0.4 "Ice Cream Sandwich" implementation that ran a custom UI; as well as streamlining the UI a bit. Android 4.1 also introduces the phone to its feature-set, which includes Google Now, voice search, and improved predictive typing.
In addition to the update, Blu Products released three color options for Vivo 4.3, these include pearl white, electric neon yellow, and glimmer pink (pictured above).Vivo 4.3 is Blu's flagship smartphone, featuring a 4.3-inch AMOLED screen (800 x 480 pixels), 3G dual-SIM, MediaTek MT6577 dual-core SoC clocked at 1.00 GHz, 512 MB RAM, and 4 GB of fixed storage that's expandable to 32 GB.
All three variants are available on Amazon for $229, contract-free.
