For those impressed with the Galaxy S 4-rivaling feature-set of the Optimus G Pro, yet don't have a liking for its 5.5-inch screen, which puts it into the phablet territory; LG announced the Optimus GK. Launched in Korea with a possibility of a wider launch later, the Optimus GK gives you practically every feature of its older sibling, in a smaller 5-inch form-factor.
The Optimus GK features the same 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, which in its 5-inch IPS screen size, yields a pixel density of 441 ppi. The rest of its feature-set it identical to that of the Optimus G Pro. You get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core SoC clocked at 1.70 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage that's expandable with micro-SDHC, a 13-megapixel primary camera with a 2-megapixel front-facing one, a customized Android 4.1, and a meaty 3,100 mAh battery to power it all.
The Optimus GK is being launched as an exclusive through Korean Telecom (KT), it could launch contract-free in Korea a little later, and holds the possibility of a wider international launch.
