Take-Two Thinks Red Dead Redemption "Rejuvenated" The Western Genre

The western video game genre was brought back to life as a result of Red Dead Redemption, according to Rockstar parent company Take-Two. In a shareholder document that was filed with the Securities & Exchange Commission, Take-Two mentioned how Red Dead Redemption "rejuvenated the Western entertainment genre."

Red Dead Redemption hasn't been refreshed with a sequel since it was released in 2010, but Take-Two has dropped hints here and there suggesting a new game might be coming out. The franchise is "permanent", according to Take-Two, so even if it takes a while for a new game to come out, one will always be coming at some point.
