The LG Optimus G was released about six months ago but hasn't quite achieved its goal. Now the Korean tech giant is working on its successor named Optimus G2. First real information about the mentioned smartphone has been revealed during the press conference at MWC 2013. The latest information was spotted by Blog of Mobile which spotted the device in AnTuTu benchmarks and at the Bluetooth SIG.
It seems that Optimus G2 will come in three flavors that are most likely distributed by different regions. The F320L and F340L look like to be higher-end models due to Android 4.2.2 and 2 GHz processors. The F320K features somewhat slower 1.5 GHz chip and Android 4.1.2 than the two previous models. However, there is a possibility that the mentioned device is a different handset than the Optimus G2.
Besides the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chip, the Optimus G2 is rumoured with a 5-inch Full HD display, a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 2.1-megapixel front camera. Hopefully more information will surface soon.
The newly leaked images of LG-branded smartphones were posted by @evleaks and are believed to be the Optimus G2. From the images we can see that the display has small, slim bezels and a curvier design. The smartphone could be announced sometime in September, right before IFA electronics tradeshow in Berlin, and to show it off there.
