Google Play Games has been under development for a while now. Back in April, we found out something more about it, like that is meant to replace the current Google Play for games. Just ahead of Google I/O developer conference, a leaked APK indicates that the new service is all about getting more social.

Upcoming Google Play Services v3.1.36 update comes with a new platform called Google Play Games. Code in the APK indicates that the new platform will have plenty of new features such as cloud saves, multiplayer, achievements, matchmaking, in-game chat, achievements, leaderboards, invitations, and much more.

The platform will also integrate with Google's social network Google+. Users will be able to control game notifications, change leaderboards settings, have synced game saves alongside Gmail and Calendar syncing options. To see the rest of the details, check out the full report by Android Police.

The platform is expected to be officially unveiled at Google I/O developer conference that is held in San Francisco on May 15 to 17.
