No Windows 8 iTunes Metro App Any Time Soon

It seems that Apple has no intention, at least not in the near future, to release an iTunes version for Windows 8 operating system. Speaking to CNNMoney, Microsoft's chief financial officer Tami Reller confirmed that there will not be an iTunes Metro application any time soon.

"You shouldn't expect an iTunes app on Windows 8 any time soon. ITunes is in high demand. The welcome mat has been laid out. It's not for lack of trying," said Tami Reller.

This means that users won't be getting the optimized application for touchscreens, but the current iTunes 11 version works well on Windows 8. Tami also added that nearly all major apps that can be found in Apple's iTunes store will be available on Windows 8 by the fall.
