Sharp Japan has announced two new models in their ultra high-definition lineup, called LC-70UD1 and LC-60UD1. The first model, LC-70UD1, measures 70-inch in diagonal, while the smaller comes with 60-inch diagonal. Both of the models have support for Aquos 4K-Master Engine Pro HD upconversion engine, 3D and 2.1 channel THX surround sound.
The 4K LCD TVs also come with 400 MB of onboard memory for storing audio/video media. The 70-inch model will go on sale for 850,000 yen ($8,290) on June 15th, and the 60-inch will be available on August 10th for 750,000 yen ($7,500). Later this year, Sharp plans to join a 32-inch 4K Aquos model, which was shown at CES 2013 in January. At the moment, there is no word if the units will be worldwide available.
