Nokia is rumoured to announce its long-awaited 41-megapixel smartphone at "zoom reinvented" event on July 11 in New York. Specifications of the much awaited camera-focussed handset, called Nokia EOS PureView 41MP, were in the rumour mill for quite some time along with leaked pictures. New pictures and information reveal that the handset in those pictures was a prototype.
Apparently Nokia EOS PureView 41MP will feature an aluminum body and a quad-core processor running at 1.2 GHz. Pictures were leaked by user ICTech and according to the user, those are production version of the handset. It kept a 4.5-inch 720p display, the Xenon flash and 32 GB storage.
The phone is expected to ship in white and black colors along with the next version of Windows Phone 8 that should add support for quad-core processors, full-HD 1080p resolution and a fourth row of tiles.
