Tesla had announced earlier this week that they were going to demonstrate the battery swap capability on their Model S which peaked car lovers' interest. It turned out to be very impressive in that they were able to perform a complete battery swap in ninety seconds.
The battery swap simply requires the driver to pull up onto a special platform where the vehicle is lifted, the old battery pulled out and a fresh one installed. You can't do this at home as it requires the special platform, but it does mean that drivers of the Model S will be able to stop at these special stations and "fill up" the vehicle considerably faster that it would take a regular car to fill it's gas tank.
