Anyone with an iPhone that has Touch ID will be happy to hear that Dropbox for iOS has been updated with support for the fingerprint scanner. Users can now get into the cloud storage service from the iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, or iPhone 6 Plus using their fingerprint instead of a password. The update also requires iOS 8.
Once people receive the latest iPads, the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3, they will be able to get into Dropbox with Touch ID on those devices as well.
To begin using Touch ID with the cloud storage application, users must simply set up their fingerprint, download version 3.5 of the app, and turn on Touch ID for Dropbox.
Even for people who do not find entering a regular password to be troublesome, Touch ID is quite secure and possibly even more secure than a regular password.
