Australia Bans Saints Row 4

In January of this year, the Australian government made the decision to change its rating system to include a new "R18+" level that for the first time would allow mature games to be marketable on the continent. Saints Row 4 still managed to get itself banned.

The Classification Board gave the game an "RC" designation, which stands for "Refused Classification". The board went on to state that in their opinion, "Saints Row 4 contained interactive, visual depictions of implied sexual violence which was not justified by content." In addition they stated that, "the game includes elements of illicit or proscribed drug use related to incentive and awards.", which are prohibited by the computer games guidelines.

It looks like the Classification Board is sticking to its guns and not allowing anything that comes along.
