With no end to the rumors, here's a new one which says that the Optimus G2, LG's upcoming flagship Smartphone, will pack a 5.2-inch 1080p display. A compact body will house the big screen, aiming to keep the dimensions in tune with the current 5.0-inch flagship devices.
Apart from the Full HD display, the phone is rumored to pack the powerful Snapdragon 800 SoC. Its camera will pack the same OIS (Optical Image Stability) technology introduced by Nokia in the Lumia 920. Not much is known regarding the rest of the phone specifications, but we do know that 2 GB of RAM is on the cards, with an earlier rumored 3 GB still not completely ruled out.
The report also says that the phone will have no hardware buttons on its sides, but rather have them near the camera module at the back of the phone. While we're not sure how much that makes sense ergonomically, but we got to hand it to LG for experimenting, and a bold one too. Previous leaks hint at an August 7th announcement. We mark the date on our calendars.
