Images of LG Optimus G2 Leak Ahead Of Q3 Launch

LG Optimus G2 is the company's next flagship that should compete with the Galaxy S 4, HTC One and Xperia Z. Judging by several reports on the phone, it should be a beast. While there were some blurry images of the phone, new set of images give us a pretty clear idea of what the handset will look like.

The upcoming LG's Android flagship is very similar to the Nexus 4, featuring rounded-edge design and no physical buttons. The 5.2-inch display is surrounded by a very thin bezel, making it almost edge-to-edge. On back, we can find volume buttons along with a 13-megapixel camera.

Thanks to LG's confirmation, we can expect Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC with a quad-core Krait 400 processor that is clocked at 2.3 GHz, combined with 2 GB of RAM. The SoC also supports 4G LTE-Advanced and Ultra HD video capture playback and display support.

LG plans to announce the Optimus G2 on August 7, when the company will hold the official launch event.
