Microsoft has just slashed the price of Surface RT tablets to a much affordable point. Those who decide to buy the Surface tablet can be calm as the company will not release new tablets until 2014. According to a slide shown at Microsoft's Worldwide Partner Conference, the company is planning a new version of both the Surface and Surface Pro tablets.
While the details are unclear, mentioning only "Update for Surface RT" and "Update for Surface Pro", it is rumours point to a new Qualcomm Snapdragon processor instead of newly released Haswell processors. The processor will allegedly be clocked at 2.3 GHz, and there will be a support for LTE connectivity along with Windows 8.1 operating system. The Pro could get a keyboard dock, but we'll have to wait to see.
