Google's Eric Schmidt may have grabbed eyeballs at a recent event, by brandishing a peal-white Motorola X ahead of its launch, but it appears he was only holding just one of its many exotic panel trims. Motorola is reportedly giving the handset three distinct back-panel trims made of exotic materials.
The first of course is basic plastic, which doesn't count as an exotic material. Next up is ceramic. That's right, the abrasive texture of real ceramic could soon land into your pockets, if it's deep enough. Next up is fabric, which could be anything ranging from common automobile upholstery materials such as Alcantara, to leather. The third trim made of exotic materials is wood. Motorola could opt for any of the premium wood types. Motorola could offer laser engravings.
