PengPod 700 is the name of a new tablet that is being produced by a company named Peacock Imports. The idea about this tablet is the ability of running both Android and Linux. This was done with Android 4.0 running from internal memory and Linux comes from an SD Card.
The device won't be stylish like the Nexus 7, but if you want to run both operating systems with touch screen ability on an affordable tablet, this is the way to go. A 1.2 GHz Cortex A8 ARM Core processor powers the unit with 1 GB DDR3 RAM and a 1.3 megapixels front camera. It uses 800 x 480 pixels resolution on 7" screen and you get an HDMI connector if you want to connect it to external units. There is 8GB of internal memory, one USB connector and WiFi connection. All of that is powered with 3.3Ah battery.
If this device is too small for you, there is a 10-inch tablet with a $185 price tag.
