AT&T has begun accepting pre-orders for the camera centric Nokia Lumia 1020, the company's flagship Smartphone as well as the most premium Windows Phone 8 Smartphone currently in the market. Of course, the Lumia 1020 packs a 41 MP PurView camera sensor at the back.
The Lumia 1020 will be available in Black, White and Yellow (of course) and will begin shipping on July 23 (only if you pre-order it right away). For those who are cool with the WP8 ecosystem and want that compact yet powerful camera phone, the Lumia 1020 is a no-brainer first choice. Sadly, the $299.99 price tag along with a two-year contract hardly falls in the "affordable" category, and might just end up backfiring on the company. You can also avoid the two-year contract by paying AT&T the full $659.99, a steep price considering the Sony Xperia Z can be had for nearly $80 less.
