Microsoft Working On A Surface Watch

Rumours about new smartwatches from several leading manufacturers have been in rumour mill for quite some time. While the situation is heating up, Microsoft is allegedly already testing its own smartwatch. According to a report, the company has moved a prototype smartwatch testing to its Surface team.

Along with it, there has been a lot of talking that Microsoft is requesting 1.5-inch displays from component manufacturers, meaning the release date is very close. AmongTech recently reported that there will be several different smartwatch colors, including blue, red, yellow, black, white, and grey colors.

Another intriguing thing is that Microsoft will use an expensive "translucent aluminum", also known as Oxynitride Aluminum. This should make the device three times harder than devices with glass. Although the specifications are not familiar, some prototypes include 6 GB of storage and LTE support.
