Samsung Galaxy S III And Galaxy Note II Could Skip Android 4.2.2

While both the Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II use either Android 4.1.1 or 4.1.2, users are getting impatient for Android 4.2.2 update. According to latest rumours, there won't be Android 4.2.2 update for the Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II as the company could go directly to, yet to be announced, Android 4.3 version.

"An insider from Samsung R&D, India, has just tipped us with the reason for this possible delay. According to the insider, Samsung R&D India is currently working on Jelly Bean 4.2.2 Update as well as the Jelly Bean 4.3 Update for the Galaxy S3, Note 2 as well the the Octa core Version of Galaxy S4 which currently sells in India," says the report.

Allegedly, Samsung's R&D team is now deciding whether it will update the Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II to Android 4.2.2 of Android 4.3. The update will arrive later this year, probably in November or December, but one thing is sure there will not be Android 5.0 update for the Galaxy S III and Note II.
