Next-Generation Nexus 7 Up For Pre-Order On Best Buy

We might just be hours away from the official launch of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and the next-generation Nexus 7 tablet, but that didn't stop online retailer Best Buy from putting the tablet up on their site for pre-order, confirming the final specifications and price of the sleek 7" tablet.

The new Nexus 7 packs a high-resolution (1920 x 1200) 7" LED display, 2GB of RAM, a 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 APQ8064 chipset, Adreno 320 GPU, a 5.2MP rear camera and 1.2MP front facing camera, 4000 mAh battery and the newest iteration of Jelly Bean, Android 4.3.

Google has priced the ASUS made tablet at an affordable $229 for the 16GB model and $269 for the 32GB model. While many of you will be quick to complain that Google jacked up the price of the base model by $30, consider all the extra goodies that you're getting for the price difference. The original Nexus 7 packed only 8GB of storage, for $199. Thank god Google hasn't repeated that mistake (low internal storage coupled with a missing micro SD card slot).
