Google has stuck to their promise of fast updates to all Nexus phones. The newly announced Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS is already rolling out to all of the current Nexus phones, including the Galaxy Nexus, the Nexus 4 Smartphone, Nexus 7 tablet and the Nexus 10 tablet.
It's nice to see Google pushing out a new OS build update to a phone more than 1.5 years old on day one itself. Galaxy Nexus owners must be feeling lucky right now. Only recently did Google drop support for future Android updates for the legendary Nexus S, but that device had aged a lot and the hardware was simply not powerful enough to support newer Android builds (Android 4.1.2 was the last update).
The Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update is rolling out OTA (over-the-air), so keep an eye on your notification panel and stay connected to your home WiFi network. Galaxy S4 and HTC One Google Play Editions will get the update soon, but no precise timeline was specified.
