iFixit managed to get their hands on one unlucky second-generation Nexus 7. Of course, a teardown was to follow. Sadly, what followed wasn't exactly encouraging. iFixit rates the Nexus 7 reparability at just 7 out of 10, meaning this won't be easy to fix once broken. In their teardown, the dedicated website discovered that the display was particularly difficult to get off, and that the battery is stuck to an adhesive tray. The rest of the components, such as the camera modules and motherborad, came off easily. Either way, Google didn't make much of an improvement in terms of repairability of their 7-inch tablet over the past one year.
