Charities Get Over $700K From Minecraft Halloween Skin Pack

In a collaboration between Microsoft and Mojang, the Minecraft Halloween Skin Pack raised a whopping $770,000+ for four charities. The charities that benefited from the sale were Block by Block, SANDS Lothians, Child's Play, and Macmillan Cancer Support.

Xbox Live users were able to choose from 55 different spooky Halloween skins for 160 Microsoft points, which is around $2, to liven up their games. The proceeds from the sale, which ran from October 26 to November 26, 2012, were divided equally between the charities by Microsoft and Minecraft developer Mojang.
