It seems like everything except the actual hardware itself will be available to everyone before the launch of the Motorola Moto X on August 1. This time round, it's the touch-driven camera app APK from the unreleased phone, and works on phones like the Google Nexus 4 running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
Most of the features of the app worked well. HDR and slow-motion video capture were however, disabled. Quick capture doesn't work (sadly) and panorama mode crashes, for now. Of course, let a few developers crawl over it and all the bugs should be nicely squashed out, leaving a complete and fully functional APK for you to download.
