Looks like Verizon is soon going to begin selling a new Nokia Lumia smartphone. The newest Lumia to enter Nokia's and Verizon's lineup will be the Nokia Lumia 729, undoubtedly an exclusive to this US carrier. The Lumia 729 could very well be superior to the Lumia 822, also offered by Verizon.
While the naming scheme doesn't say so, could 729 > 822 be true in this case? The newest Lumia could pack an HD (1280 x 720). This is in contrast to the low WVGA (800 x 480) display resolution on the Lumia 822. Additionally, the leaked press render reveals that the Lumia 729 carries a Nokia exclusive PureView camera module.
Considering that the Lumia 928 is already $99 with a two-year contract, the Lumia 729 might either cost just $49 or even be offered for $0 (with a two-year contract of course). Either way, this looks to be an attractive mid-range offering from Nokia and Verizon.
