After the sad demise of Google Reader, the next service from Google to bite the dust will be the mostly unheard of (by a majority of us) Google Shopper service. The reason behind this is that most people use Google Search for all their shopping needs and not Shopper, making the very purpose of the app seem redundant.
According to Google data,
"76% of shoppers use the web to research purchases and 57% of people use mobile devices to help them shop smarter." - Sameer Samat, VP, Google Shopping
As most people already use search, Google will be redirecting the minority who don't to Google Search post August 30th, the expiration date for Google Shopper. You won't be missed buddy, not much.
