Pantech To Launch LTE-A Vega On August 5, Packs 5.6" 1080p Display

And Snapdragon 800 SoC

Here's yet another new Snapdragon 800 powered device, this time coming from Pantech, a South Korean company by origin. The Pantech Vega pack the new Snapdragon 800 SoC and support the screaming fast LTE Advanced network as well. There's more to the Vega than just LTE-A. According to reports, Pantech will officially take the wraps off the new Vega on August 5. This device is unique on its own as it will be the first Smartphone to pack a (somewhat odd) 5.6" display with a 1080p (1920 x 1080) panel. We are aware of 5", 5.7", 6" and even 6.4" 1080p panels, this will be the first time that we've heard, or will be seeing a 5.6" 1080p panel in action. The new Pantech Vega will have its CPU cores cloked at 2.3 GHz and will run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean at launch.
