To all those who were anxiously waiting for Motorola to announce an unlocked version of the attractive new Moto X last night, worry not. Leave your disappointment aside as Motorola confirmed that there indeed will be unlocked versions of the Moto X later this year. The unlocked versions will go on sale as the Moto X Google Play Edition for an off-contract price of, we're guessing, more than $299. Why so? Well, the phone costs $199 with a two-year contract, putting it in same range as the Galaxy S4 and HTC One (launch price). A quick reminded, either of those phones cost near $700 unlocked. Just pray that the same case doesn't apply to the Motorola Moto X as well.
