Over $5,000,000 In Donations For Humble THQ Bundle

The Humble Bundles are usually games by independent developers, but THQ threw their hat into the ring and offered up a bunch of AAA games that people could pay whatever they wanted for, and the donations raise over $5,000,000 dollars for charity organizations.

The bundle had a little help from THQ President, Jason Rubin, who donated over $10,000, most of which went to charity. People donating could decide what portion of the funds goes to charities, in this case Child's Play and the American Red Cross, and how much goes to the developers.

The average contributor ponied up $5.76, but with almost 900,000 people making a donation it all adds up. Helping a worthy cause like the charities as well as giving the developers a cut for making their games available in such a manner is always guaranteed to give a donating gamer a warm fuzzy feeling.
