Android Device Manager, introduced to the world earlier last week, has gone live. Google's newest project helps Android users who have misplaced or lost their phone to track it down, pass on some commands remotely using the web portal, and hopefully recover it as well. Simply have the 'Google Apps Device Policy' app installed on your phone and worry a little bit less when you leave your phone lying around at someone else's place the next time, or get (god forbid) pickpocketed. Android Device Manager allows you to blast the volume on your phone to maximum and play your ringtone in a continuous loop, remotely erase all user data on your device and check its location using Google Maps.
Sweet? Totally! Head over to the source link to log-in and get tracking.
