Samsung Galaxy S6/S6 Edge Users In The UK Get Marshmallow Beta Firmware

Shortly after we posted an article about Samsung's Marshmallow Beta program, which was supposed to be exclusive to South Korea, the Marshmallow beta firmware update for the Samsung Galaxy S6/S6 edge has started rolling out in the United Kingdom as well.

There are a lot of changes and new features, but users can expect even more once the firmware becomes stable version. Here are the changes, and below is the video showing the new OS.

  • A lot of nice and fluid animations and effects.
  • An option to save images in RAW format.
  • Pro mode in the camera app brings shutter speed option to the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge.
  • New power menu.
  • An option to customize lockscreen app shortcuts.
  • New colour for quick settings panel.
  • An option to enable or disable fast charging.
  • An ability to add apps to a folder directly from within the folder.
  • App permissions.
