Meizu has launched the most powerful Ubuntu phone thus far with its Pro 5 Ubuntu Edition. The handset comes with a 5.7-inch AMOLED 1080p display, an eight-core Exynos 7420 processor, 3/4 GB of RAM, and 32/64 GB of storage. It also features a fingerprint sensor, a 21-megapixel rear camera, and a 3050 mAh battery.
The phone is identical to the regular Pro 5 with the exception of its operating system--the normal Pro 5 runs Android Lollipop.
Preorders for this handset are set to begin on Monday and Canonical (the company behind Ubuntu) has not mentioned what the phone will cost. It'll be available globally, including in the US, from online sellers.
