When Razer announced its first external GPU case called Razer Core, many people probably wondered if it would work with other laptops. Well, lucky for you, the answer is yes. The Razer Core is now confirmed to work with any laptop that supports the external GPU standard.
This has been confirmed by Razer's director of product marketing, Kevin Sather, who said that "the Core is designed to be open to any laptop that can support it." The case is currently available on Razer's website for $499.
"In terms of compatibility with non-Razer laptops, Sather said the Core is designed to be open to any laptop that can support it. That means that a laptop needs to fully support the external graphics standard for Intel's Thunderbolt connection. It's on the bleeding edge of these standards. Anyone who adheres to it should have a laptop that supports it."
