With growing amount of RAM amount, a 64-bit operating system is a necessary to use more than 4 GB of RAM. During its Developer Conference in San Francisco, Samsung has announced that the company will roll out a major update to the Tizen operating system.
The Tizen 3.0 update is expected to arrive with a 64-bit operating system. The first beta version will be released in July, while the public release will be done in September 2016. Devices running Tizen 2.4 will be updated to the Tizen 3.0 in September, and newer devices will get it after the release.
A 64-bit OS isn't the only new feature. Expect to see support for multiple users, voice control, built-in virus and privacy protection, support for 4K resolution videos, Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi 802.11 ac.
