Firaxis Games, creators of the alien infested world of the game XCOM: Enemy Unknown, announced that a new expansion for the turned based strategy game called XCOM: Enemy Within. The expansion for the game is headed for consoles and PC on November 12th, 2013.
The expansion will introduce what is called the "MEC" suit, which stands for Mechanized Exoskeletal Cybersuit, which is basically a suit of armor that allows the player to be equipped with heavy weapons. It will additionally add a new resource, "meld", which will allow for human-alien hybrids.
The expansion will also feature new maps which double those in the original game, and will have players seeing alien crashes not only occurring tin the wilderness, but in cities also. They are also improving item management and on the multiplayer end allow players to create quads in offline mode as opposed to just in the lobby in the first game.
The game will be available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC on November 12th.
