While we were already aware of the fact that Samsung will introduce Tizen powered phones towards the end of the year, we were of the opinion that the first wave of Tizen phones would be powered by Samsung's own Exynos branded chipsets. Well, that part isn't entirely true. A new UAProf (User Agent Profile) has revealed that Samsung will introduce multiple Tizen OS based Smartphones, at least one of which will be powered by a Snapdragon SoC. We expect the SoC in question to be a quad-core part. The display resolution of the phone 1280 x 720 (HD) and the device will also support 4G LTE connectivity and is codenamed SM-Z9005.
We can't wait to see what Samsung and Intel have done together with the platform. First devices are expected to hit the market in the months October-November this year, not too far away from now.
