Nokia could finally return to making phones after its business was sold to Microsoft in 2013 for $7.2 billion. Since then, the company has hinted several times that it intends to re-enter the phone market, but there is no specific timeframe and they don't want to be in a rush.
It looks like the company is almost ready to release their first handset after almost three years as a press render of the new Nokia-branded smartphone emerged online. Dubbed the Nokia P1, the handset is reportedly developed by engineers at InFocus/Sharp, but we don't have any information on specs, pricing or availability.
Since the terms of Nokia's deal with Microsoft prevents them from releasing a new phone using the Nokia brand until the third quarter of 2016, which is the current quarter, the handset could be announced anytime soon.
