Microsoft has recently launched an upgraded version of Xbox One, but the 2 TB Xbox One S was only a special launch edition in limited quantities. The new model comes with slimmer design, 4K Ultra HD video support and HDR capabilities for both gaming and video playback. The big improvement is expected to happen with Xbox Project Scorpio, which is a mid-generation upgrade to the Xbox One.
We know the console will pack eight CPU cores, over 320 GB/s of memory bandwidth, six teraflops (TF) of GPU power, 4K gaming support and VR support. To get ready for the launch, Phil Spencer has confirmed that developers are already working on hardware, platform and games for Project Scorpio. He didn't reveal any specifics like what kind of games or features we can expect, but hopefully games created for Scorpio will be playable on the current Xbox One and One S.
