Even if the 2,600 mAh battery of the Galaxy S4 keeps you ticking for a day before needing a charge, there are those like us, who will find it a wee bit inadequate, and don't like peeling out its back cover to battery-swap almost each day, using this contraption Samsung gave out. For them, it's over to Mophie, and its Juice Pack line of latch-on extended batteries.
Originally an iPhone phenomenon, Mophie jumped fence to launch Juice Packs for Android devices, starting with one for the HTC One, which desperately needs one to remain an "all-day" device for urban warriors. Its next endeavor is with the most popular 5-inch class high-end smartphone, Samsung Galaxy S4. The device wraps around your otherwise sleek and lightweight Galaxy S4, framing the device, and plugging into its micro-USB connector.
Mophie Juice Pack for Galaxy S4 supplements the 2,600 mAh battery with its 2,300 mAh power pack. When your phone's battery dips below 5%, flick a switch, and Juice Pack should restore 70-ish percent of its power, if not more (some acceptable loss). Measuring 74.1 mm x 150.1 mm x 16.7 mm, it adds 130 g to your Galaxy S4. Available in black and white, it's priced at $99.
