Acer has been pretty quiet on the Smartphone front in the last couple of months, but that doesn't mean that the company has completely given up on Smartphones altogether. A listing on popular GPU benchmark website GFXBench revealed the existence of the Acer Liquid S2, destined to be a high-end flagship Smartphone that will go up against the best from the rest (of the phone makers).
The Liquid S2 is the company's first true flagship material phone that will go up against the best of the best including Sony's Xperia Z Ultra and Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note III respectively. Of course, to compete with the best, you need to be as fast as them, and therefore Acer decided to fit their new flagship with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800 SoC.
It is entirely likely that Acer will announce their new Liquid S2 at IFA 2013 next month, in which case it won't be long before we find out everything else there is about this phone.
